Microfibre cleans grooves. Cotton holds water.

THE FIBRE

Microfibre cleans grooves. Cotton holds water.

Microfibre fibres run 1 to 4 microns across. The groove channel on a modern iron is about 0.35mm wide, so those fibres physically enter the groove and pull debris out. Cotton fibres run 15 to 20 microns and bridge across instead, wiping the ridges rather than the valleys. Cotton holds more water and drapes better, which is why the caddy format uses it.

Waffle does two jobs at once

THE WEAVE

Waffle does two jobs at once

The raised grid generates friction against the clubface while the channels between the ridges trap the grass and moisture you just lifted, so it does not smear back across the face on the next pass. One firm wipe clears a groove more completely than repeated passes with a flat cloth.

Not just a wet-weather towel

EVERY ROUND

Not just a wet-weather towel

A towel earns its place on every round, not only the wet ones. Clearing grooves after a divot, wiping a golf ball before a putt, drying grips in summer heat, keeping the clubs covered when the weather turns. Absorption and attachment matter in all of it, which is why the specs are published rather than implied.

GOLF TOWEL BUYING GUIDE

Choosing between the three formats

The right golf towel comes down to how you carry your bag and how much cleaning surface you need to still have on the eighteenth hole.

Match the format to your setup

Buggy, trolley and golf cart golfers have steel to attach to, so the compact 40 x 65cm magnetic format is the fastest option: clean a club, let go, and it snaps back to the same spot. Walkers with stand or carry bags have nothing magnetic, so the 40 x 100cm tour format threads through a D-ring and its full metre keeps a genuine wet end and dry end. The 55 x 105cm caddy towel in 550GSM cotton drapes through the irons for full-bag coverage with no hardware.

Read both numbers, not one

Total absorption is size multiplied by density. A dense compact towel can outlast a thin larger one, so a 400GSM towel at 40 x 65cm is not simply beaten by a 200GSM towel twice its size. Judge GSM and dimensions together.

Care that protects the spec

Wash microfibre at 30°C with no fabric softener, because softener coats the fibres and destroys the absorbency you paid for, and remove any magnet first. Air dry cotton flat to preserve loft.

GOLF TOWEL FAQS

What makes PINSEEKER towels different from standard golf towels?

Each PINSEEKER towel is built to a defined specification rather than a price point, and the spec is chosen for the job each format does. The Magnetic and Tour Golf Towels use 400GSM waffle-weave microfibre: the waffle grid lifts dirt from grooves on contact and the fabric dries fast between shots. The Caddy Golf Towel uses 550GSM 100% cotton: the weight and drape of premium cotton keeps it anchored through your clubs across a full round without clips or hardware. Two materials, three formats, one quality standard.

Are PINSEEKER golf towels double-sided?

Two of the three are. The Magnetic and Tour Golf Towels are printed on both faces: the cleaning face carries the PINSEEKER icon and wordmark on 400GSM waffle microfibre, the reverse carries the full star pattern. The Caddy Golf Towel is 550GSM cotton and is not printed on both sides, because the cotton pile takes print differently and the caddy format hangs folded through the irons anyway.

Which towel format should I choose?

It depends on how you carry the bag. The Magnetic Golf Towel is for buggy, trolley, and cart bags: it attaches magnetically to any steel rail or frame. The Tour Golf Towel uses a centre-slit and hanging loop, fitting stand bags, carry bags, and any bag with a D-ring or zip pull. The Caddy Golf Towel (550GSM 100% cotton) uses a reinforced centre-slit to feed through or over your longer irons, the traditional Tour caddy method. No clip needed, no hardware, just the weight of the clubs holding it in place. Not sure which is right for your setup? See the best golf towels guide.

Will the N52 magnet damage my golf clubs or electronics?

No. The N52 magnet on the Magnetic Golf Towel is designed to attach to steel bag rails and buggy frames, not to clubheads or shafts. Keep it away from the putter head as a precaution, but it poses no risk to irons, woods, or wedges used normally on course.

How do I wash a PINSEEKER towel?

Magnetic Golf Towel: Machine wash at 30°C. Remove the magnetic attachment before washing, it unclips and reattaches easily. Tumble dry on low or air dry flat.

Tour Golf Towel: Machine wash at 30°C. Tumble dry on low or air dry flat. No preparation needed before washing.

Caddy Golf Towel: Machine wash at 30°C with similar colours. Air dry only: tumble drying can compress the cotton fibres and reduce the plush loft. Do not bleach.

Do the towels work in wet weather?

Yes. The Magnetic and Tour towels use 400GSM waffle-weave microfibre, which absorbs moisture quickly and dries fast between shots. Wringing out mid-round restores most of their absorption capacity. The Caddy Golf Towel uses 550GSM cotton, which also absorbs well and handles wet conditions effectively. All three formats are built for use on course in variable weather.

What size are the PINSEEKER golf towels?

The Magnetic Golf Towel measures 40x65cm (400GSM waffle-weave microfibre, N52 magnet). The Tour Golf Towel measures 40x100cm (400GSM waffle-weave microfibre, centre-slit and loop). The Caddy Golf Towel measures 55x105cm (550GSM 100% cotton, reinforced centre-slit), the largest format in the range, designed to drape through or over the clubs in the traditional caddy style.

Can I use a PINSEEKER golf towel on a push trolley or electric buggy?

Yes, and the Magnetic Golf Towel is built specifically for this. Its N52 Neodymium magnet attaches to any steel rail or frame on a push trolley, electric buggy, or cart bag stand with no clips or threading required. It holds firm while moving and releases cleanly when you need it.

The Tour Golf Towel can also be used on a trolley bag: loop it through a D-ring or zip pull using its hanging loop. The Caddy Golf Towel is designed to drape through the clubs rather than attach to the bag frame, so it suits any bag setup where you prefer the traditional club-drape method.
